About Asura

We build modern, privacy-first tools for behavioural health. Our first focus is ADHD assessment in adults, combining clear product design with clinically informed methods.

Asura supports reflection and clinical conversations. It does not replace professional diagnosis or treatment.

Why we exist

Our mission

Make evidence based behavioural health tools feel as polished and respectful as the best consumer apps: fast, friendly and trustworthy.

We help adults with ADHD understand their attention patterns and bring clearer, more objective data into conversations with clinicians, without feeling surveilled or judged by technology.

Why ADHD in adults?

Adult ADHD is often under recognised, hard to access and expensive to assess. Many people bounce between online quizzes, long waiting lists and high out of pocket costs.

  • • Long wait times for assessment and follow up.
  • • High private assessment costs in many markets.
  • • Women and marginalised groups are more likely to be missed.

Our team combines lived experience of ADHD with clinical research and product engineering. Asura is our way of building the tools we wish had existed sooner.

How we work

Privacy first

Sensible defaults, data minimisation and explicit consent. We design for safety and trust from day one.

Fast iteration

Small releases, real world feedback and tight loops with clinicians and participants.

Clinical quality

Predictable engineering, clinical rigour and long term maintainability. No throwaway prototypes in production.

Trust, ethics & data

Not a diagnostic tool

Our ADHD Research Prototype is built to support understanding and clinical conversations. It does not provide a diagnosis or medical advice, and it is not a medical device.

Data minimalism

We collect only the data needed to run and improve our models. We do not sell data to advertisers and avoid unnecessary personal identifiers wherever possible.

EU based, GDPR first

Data is processed and stored in the EU under GDPR. Participants can withdraw consent and request deletion of identifiable data during the prototype phase.

Supported by aws

Asura is supported by Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws), helping us build privacy respecting digital health products in the EU.

For more detailed answers about consent, data processing and the ADHD Research Prototype, see our FAQ and Privacy policy.

Where we are now

We are in a research prototype phase: testing an ADHD attention and gaze prototype with selected participants and preparing for a formal pilot study with clinical partners.

Today

ADHD Research Prototype

Web based Go or No Go task plus gaze estimation and eye metrics.

Next

Pilot study and feedback

Clinical feedback, model iteration and checks for usability, fairness and robustness.

Later

Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws) logo

Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws)

Asura is supported by Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws), the Austrian federal development bank for innovative companies. Their support helps us build privacy respecting digital health products in the EU and prepare our ADHD Research Prototype for formal clinical studies.

aws funding is focused on research, product development and validation, not advertising. That fits our goal of building tools that are supportive rather than exploitative.
